March 29 – Who You Cappin’

To move forward with some new-age lingo lessons, I learned the term “Capping” recently and I’m quite concerned with how this came up?

I was speaking with a bus boy, 29, and we were talking about our home lives. When he told me his mom was so young, I responded with, “Really?!”

His response was – “I’m not Cappin’ ya” – wait what?

So we diagnosed the new term and came to find the term to be known by most of our employees here – even the ones trudging through their 30s…

The term now has an equivalence to lying or joking around. So, instead of saying, “You’re lying” – you just say… “You’re capping”

Ok, I give up on this one… but until tomorrow when I hear some other fantastic lingo!
